Anchovy hops are a new experimental hop from Segal Ranches in lower Yakima Valley. Originally called 24B-05, it was later given the controversial name Anchovy by Matt Storm and Brian Strumke from Fast Fashion Brewing in Seattle.

This very limited hop has notes of watermelon, raspberry, and pine. “The first beer we made with it was called Hot Pizza,” Storm says. “Brian thought to call the new hop 'Anchovy' since it would be like hot pizza with anchovies — the most ridiculous topping.”
