Commercially launched in 2021, McKenzie™ C-148 c.v. is the first variety released by the West Coast Hop Breeding Company (WCHB) of Aurora, Oregon. WCHB is a co-operative organization of six Oregon hop growers. McKenzie™ was bred specifically for the climate and agronomy of Oregon, maximizing the local terroir. McKenzie™ is described as a bright and fruity mixture of classic varieties like Fuggle and Centennial.
