Avangard caramel malts are made from the finest two row spring barley grown in the most prominent regions, such as Germany, France, Denmark, and England. Due to the production process of caramel malts the enzymatic activities are reduced. Sweet caramel aroma, caramel malt is typically used to obtain darker color combined with a malty aroma and lower fermentability ending up in more full bodied, sweeter beers.
